  43. DESCRIPTION

  45.      CatEdit is a program that allows you to translate
  46.      localized programs in any language that the Amiga
  47.      supports.
  48.  
  49.      With CatEdit it is also possible to remove those little
  50.      (or big) errors in the translation of a program or
  51.      translate strings into other strings that you prefer.
  52.      You can even change Workbench strings.
  53.  
  54.      You don't need the original catalog description to
  55.      translate a catalog, all you need is a catalog (it
  56.      doesn't matter which language, as long as you can
  57.      understand it). But CatEdit can also read catalog
  58.      descriptions, it can even write catalog descriptions.
  59.      Starting with version 1.2, CatEdit can even 'snoop' the
  60.      strings from the programs.

  62. NEW FEATURES
  63.  
  64.      Major changes since release 1.2a:
  65.      -CatEdit didn't accept catalog description files with
  66.       multiple spaces between string name and string
  67.       attributes, nor hexadecimal numbers (starting with a
  68.       `$').
  69.      -FileRequester could contain garbage.
  70.      -CatEdit will remove the path part from the catalog
  71.       version name.

  78.      CatEdit needs Kickstart 2.04 and Workbench 2.1 or newer
  79.      and 512K of memory.
